Replacing Damaged LCD Screen in a Laptop HP Pavilion DV2000

In this tutorial we will explain how to remove and replace the damaged LCD screen in the Pavilion dv2000 laptop the HP. This guide is valid for all notebook Pavilion dv2000 series. By the way, HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop is like a smaller copy of the Pavilion Notebook dv6000 Series the HP all laptop disassembly steps are very similar. 

Before you start, unplug the laptop from the network and remove the battery. LCD screen is fixed between the cover and the frame. The screen frame is attached to the cover with six screws, which are hidden six caps (circled circles in the photo). Remove all caps with a sharp object and then unscrew the screws under the caps. Start disconnection frame from the cover with the top corners. Continue detach the screen frame. Remove the full screen frame. The inverter is the source of the backlight power, which is hidden inside the LCD screen. Most inverter is mounted below the LCD screen. In this tutorial, we do not consider the replacement inverter, so we will disable only one cable from the right side. Unscrew the four screws on the bottom, raising articulations. Gently remove the LCD screen with the entire design of the lid and place it face down. Now you can access the LCD cable connector (video cable). LCD screen cable connects to the motherboard. Unplug the LCD cable from the display connector. Remove the LCD screen from the laptop. As you can see that the screen is still attached two brackets on the left and the right. Next, disconnect the bracket, simply by unscrewing the three screws. Move the bracket to a new screen.
